The ministry and the Chinese company agreed to carry out joint geothermal energy projects in Uzbekistan’s regions.
On 30 October 2024, the Ministry of Energy met a delegation of China’s Sinoma EC Investment led by its president, Liu Sin, the ministry reported the same day.
They agreed to carry out joint geothermal energy projects in the country’s regions. Sinoma EC Investment, founded in 1987, is part of China National Building Material Group (CNBM).
A presidential resolution signed on 13 October pays 50% of October–March electricity costs for greenhouses with green heating from 1 November 2026, alongside equipment grants, cheap loans and tax breaks.
