From 14 to 16 September 2026, O‘zbekgidrogeologiya’s director Sh. Yuldashev and a colleague held meetings in Zurich to exchange experience and discuss future cooperation, the state institution reported on 16 September.
They met Dr Xiang-Zhao Kong, a professor at Switzerland’s federal technical university in Zurich, and agreed to cooperate on using geothermal energy and on joint grant projects.
They also met Tobias Zickfeld, head of Hydrosolutions GmbH, and discussed a project concept for using energy from shallow layers around Tashkent region. The sides agreed to prepare a grant project based on the concept and submit it to the Swiss development agency for funding.
