The International Energy Agency’s report “Solar Energy Policy in Uzbekistan: A Roadmap”, published on 31 March 2022, includes geothermal energy in its table of renewable energy potential in Uzbekistan.

The table gives geothermal a gross potential of 2,805 × 10³ petajoules (PJ) and a technical potential of 13 PJ. Its source note says the figures are based on the IEA’s 2020 Uzbekistan energy profile: they are the same 67,000 Mtoe and 0.3 Mtoe, expressed in petajoules.

The report’s chapter on the renewable energy context does not discuss geothermal energy beyond this row.
