The Kh. M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics in Tashkent announced a tender to buy geological field equipment for the project of developing renewable geothermal energy in Uzbekistan, Trend reported on 12 December 2023.
Offers had to include technical documentation and catalogues and exclude taxes and customs payments. Applications were due by 18:00 Tashkent time on 14 December 2023.
A presidential resolution signed on 13 October pays 50% of October–March electricity costs for greenhouses with green heating from 1 November 2026, alongside equipment grants, cheap loans and tax breaks.
