The Scientific Council of the Kh. M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics discussed the scientific results of a research project led by I. P. Sidorova, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, the institute reported on 23 March 2023.
The project, which runs from 2019 to 2023, is titled “Geophysical study of geothermal anomalies of the Kyzylkum, Hissar and Almalyk–Angren regions to determine their contours, and development of scientific and practical recommendations on using low- and high-potential geothermal energy sources”.
Why it matters
The same authors later published a geophysical paper on the Muruntau area (2023) and one on the Gulistan area of the Gissar region (2025).
